Hot Takes: The Design Sites We Can’t Live Without
There are some websites that just seem to permanently live in your browser tabs.
The ones you dip into when you’re stuck on a project, looking for a bit of inspiration, checking a typeface, building a deck or simply procrastinating productively.
So, we thought we’d start sharing a few.
Hot Takes is our new monthly series, where we’ll be sharing a handful of tips, tricks and general good stuff worth knowing from the team here at Meor.
For our first instalment, we’ve asked Ollie, India and Johnnie from our design team to share the design sites they’re constantly flicking between during office hours.

Pointsizer is an absolute godsend when it comes to typographic hierarchy. It’s incredibly simple to use and takes the guesswork out of pairing type sizes and leading, helping you create a consistent hierarchy without having to endlessly tweak the numbers.
Simple, useful and very easy to get slightly obsessed with.
A great library of typefaces across all sorts of styles – and the best bit? They’re all free.
Free fonts can sometimes feel like a bit of a gamble. Fontshare is proof that they really don’t have to. There are loads of genuinely good typefaces to explore, making it a go-to when you’re looking for something new without immediately reaching for the paid font library.
Think of this one as a treasure chest for brand design.
Updated daily with the latest work from studios and creatives around the world, The Brand Identity is a great way to keep an eye on what’s happening in the design world.
Whether you’re looking for inspiration or simply want to see what other designers are up to, it’s well worth a scroll.
For when you know you want a good colour palette, but haven’t quite figured out what that looks like yet.
Pigment lets you play around with colour combinations, adjusting levels of pigment and lighting until something catches your eye. Once you’ve found a combination you like, you can explore different shades of each colour too.
A particularly good one to lose 20 minutes to.
And finally, for anyone who spends a suspicious amount of time making decks, pitches and presentations.
The Master Slides has a brilliant collection of templates, but our favourite part is the inspiration section. You can have a nosy through real slide designs from some pretty big names, from Patagonia to Monzo.
It’s particularly handy when you’ve been staring at the same PowerPoint layout for far too long and need to see things from a different angle.
